About me
TLDR
UX designer by day, cat-herding, tv loving, hiking, knitting Swiftie by night.
I have six years of experience in user experience design. Right now, I'm an in-house designer at the American Medical Association, where I focus on helping improve their portfolio of digital products. I have a Master's degree in Marketing with a concentration in Information Systems from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
I love design because it's given me the power to work creatively. My vision for my design career is to find a good spot either in a company with a diverse portfolio of digital products, so that I get to work on different and unique projects. I'm not sure if I want to end up a manager. I think I would rather follow the individual contributor ladder as far as I can get.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my family consisting of a dog, three cats and my husband. There's a new human family member joining us, she's expected to arrive February, 2026. My current side project involves designing and building a rummy game app and learning Unity in the process. In my free time, I love watching TV shows, particularly procedural dramas and sitcoms. I like knitting and baking. I have a habit of listening to audiobooks while I play farming sims. Also, I'm a huge Swiftie and a big fan of the Avett Brothers.
